I’m still avoiding beginning this month’s novel. What’s the best advice an adult ever gave you regarding cold water, band-aids or any other unsavoury task? Just jump in and get it over with. I should heed that wisdom. It’s so easy to stall or concede defeat right off the bat but has anything wonderful been accomplished when the people involved said “It’s going to be too hard. I doubt I’ll make it so I’ll just kind of try.” NO! Things have been built using blood, sweat, and tears! ┬áThese stories are like my children and as another saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child. So I’m reining in the troops. I appreciate every ounce of support my friends, family and Facebook, WordPress and Twitter friends offer. You all help with the story, you know.

I really have to get moving on this novel, it’s not going to write itself. There’s even more incentive now because *drum roll* Chris Baty wished me good luck on Twitter! He was the one who started the NaNoWriMo movement and inspired this entire project. To put it in perspective, if you were a fledgling wrestler and Hulk Hogan wished you good luck, well, you get the point. Perhaps this is the universe’s way of getting my bum in gear. Nothing works like bringing out the big guns. It’s super SANtastic, that’s for sure.

So, as the snow’s falling and life is quiet and peaceful at work, it’s prime time to get some story writing done.
