Great Minds Think Alike

…and fools seldom differ.

I want to extend a warm welcome to 12Novels (http://12novels.com). Welcome the outrageously ridiculous circle of writers who have attempted/are attempting to write 12 novels in a year. I wish you all the best in your year of literary greatness. Trust me, it goes by much too quickly.

As I’ve read through her blog it’s inspired me to get back into my own work. Life is too short and it can take a turn much too quickly to fritter away any more time with speculation, uncertainty, or laziness. It’s time to take control, people! *Rousing cheer after the pep talk*

The story’s gotten off to a slow start because I really haven’t done any work on it. Honestly, how do I expect to get anything accomplished if I don’t sit down and put in the effort this needs. I just ned to sit down and work on the story. I miss the thrill of chasing down an idea and the satisfaction of writing. And trust me, it’s a lot easier to pad the story than it is to streamline it. So if in doubt, write that scene that you’re pretty sure will be taken out because you never know. It could be the pivotal moment in your story.
